The National Firearms Museum is proud to present REEL GUNS OF THE OLD WEST, a collection of six firearms that have had starring roles in some classic American films and television shows. Represented are guns used by some of the icons of the popular culture of the old west - John Wayne, Charlton Heston and Clint Eastwood - as well as origianl Colt’s and Winchesters that have kept the romance and adventure of the old west alive in our collective memory. These guns will be on display during the weekend at The Greater Virginia Sports and Big Game Show in an effort to generate interest in the National Firearms Museum’s newest exhibit, Guns West, which opened the spring of 2008 in the William B. Ruger Gallery, located at NRA’s Headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia.
